Goldilocks was inspired by the need for a secure storage solution for frequently used items such as wallets, jewelry, and mobile phones. In a country where service staff frequently enters and exits homes, these items are often left unprotected due to their regular use. Goldilocks addresses this issue by offering a convenient yet secure storage solution.

Unlike traditional safes that require serious modifications to the home environment for installation, Goldilocks uses unique motion sensor technology to provide a more integrated and responsible solution. Its compact size and weight make it handy for placement anywhere, completely eliminating the need for in-situ installation. The motion sensor alarm safeguards the product from being carried away and can be disabled when intentionally moving the product.

Goldilocks is designed for manufacturing with minimum tooling operations. The assembly features neat integration of plastic parts into the sheet metal enclosure, creating a product that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. An invisible touch panel lights up only on use, disguising its appearance and making it resemble a router more than a safe, thus making it inconspicuous and hidden in plain sight.

Future Factory LLP carried out extensive user research to understand the different levels of security required for various valuables. This research led to the creation of Goldilocks, a product that offers convenience at a lower level of security for items that cause anxiety due to their frequent use. The design challenge was to find the correct balance between convenience and security, which Goldilocks successfully achieves.

The innovation and design excellence of Goldilocks have been recognized with the prestigious Golden A' Security, Safety and Surveillance Products Design Award in 2018. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
